Anna and Valerie, two ambitious ecologists in their late 20s, travel to a remote cabin to investigate a strange fungal formation on pine trees. Their scientific curiosity quickly gives way to terror when Valeire develops a horrifying infection after coming into contact with one of the trees. As her condition worsens, the forest’s true, malevolent power begins to reveal itself. Trapped, isolated, and hunted by supernatural forces, Anna must navigate the mounting dread and unravel the truth about the forest and its victims. Ultimately, she is forced to make unimaginable sacrifices as she faces a horrifying realization: the forest is alive, and it wants them.
